I think this is a symptom of a bigger problem. Destiny 2 lacks any good built-in social tools. You have to have a phone app or use a web browser just to get any sort of LFG, and the text chat channels are incredibly underutilized. The chat channels are underutilized because the game is so fast-paced, there's just never any time to stop and type something. The game feels very quiet, where everyone's off in their own world rather than in the same world.
