I agree 100% I think people are trying to hard to complete stuff, and not just enjoying the game itself. I was having trouble with my hand cannon kills as well, and I can understand how it could be frustrating. But eventually, I just started actually playing the game. I quit worrying about how many kills I needed. Me and a few buds had some drinks, slayed a ton of primevals, and before I even knew what I was doing I killed my last invader. Same thing goes for crucible quests. I got one from shaxx for pulse rifle kills, and idk how many kills I needed, but it seemed like it took forever. At some point I just started playing the game for the game, and then it didn't seem to take so long. Point being, just enjoy the game. You don't have to have all these weapons right this instant. Take your time and enjoy the journey, because you'll probably never be satisfied with the destination if that's all you're concerned about.

  • Yeah we get it you’re a laid back dude who likes to drink his frustrations away and play video games. Dude, what if we don’t enjoy gambit? I enjoy everything else BUT gambit. I got ace of spades day 2. I’m just tired of every exotic quest making me go play that stupid game mode.

  • Play a different game. What do you want from me? I enjoy it. I'm sorry you don't. I don't think it's that hard. I don't see why anyone would. Spyro comes out soon, go play it. Idk.

  • Still not sure, part 2 is 75 double kills and me and my team have been grinding Gambit pretty hard.

Yeah that's the quest. Part 2 would've been get to heroic rank in crucible then part 3 is the 75 double kills. Towards the end there is a step where you need to have reset your valor rank 5 times so unless you're planning on doing that I wouldn't stress too much over that quest line lol

  • The game is not enjoyable when you are forced to play the game their way. Myself I can't stand Gambit and I despise PVP even more but yet if I want to get my light level up high enough I am forced to play it chasing powerful gear. Really wish they would adopt a game customizing setting (other successful franchises use it) after all when your charging $150-$200 to play it's becoming a service that I am paying for not a game. Imagine if you could under the settings or even gameplay you had 3 options to select Option 1) generate quests that focus around PVP Option 2) generate quest that focus around PVE Option 3) generate quest that maintain a balance of PVP and PVE That way all those players that dislike the PVE grind can enjoy their play style and those that dislike the PVP grind can enjoy their play style. Those that enjoy it all can enjoy their play style. If Bungie continues to force players into playing through events/quest they dislike the health of the game will suffer, myself personally I am finished pumping money into D2 I am tired of the recycled content and being forced to play Gambit and Crucible to chase powerful gear.

  • They aren't really forcing you to play things you don't like. You don't have to have the Ace of Spades. It isn't mandatory to progress through the rest of the game. You want it, and understandably so, but you're upset it isn't just given to you. I really wanted to get the Vex Mythoclast in D1, but couldn't be -blam!-ed to find a group. So I never got it. Was I mad at Bungie for forcing me to play a certain thing to obtain a certain reward? No, because it was my fault for not just getting a group together.

  • We are put on the quest automatically as part of finishing the storyline. That is literally forced on us.

  • That's such a weak statement. "You don't have to have the ace of spades" Let me point out a few things...... you are comparing a raid weapon that you didn't get in D1 because you didn't do the raid. I am talking about creating alternate paths for quest lines using the ace of spades as an example (exotic weapon btw) that belonged to probably the most loved Destiny character ever, 1 that they killed off if you didn't notice. You are correct I don't have to have it, as a fan of the game and Cayde I do want it. Furthermore if you go through and see not everyone wants to be doing these things. PVP players don't want to team up with those that don't want to play PVP and PVE players don't want to be there

  • Then I guess you guys will have to get on that grind, because whining on the forums isn't getting you any closer to obtaining AoS. Honestly, I'd be disappointed if Cayde's famous weapon wasn't at least somewhat difficult to get. I'm sorry it's too hard for you.

  • We should not have to do things we HATE in a game we paid for to have fun. I wanted this item to bring my story in line with my vanguard leader. I bought forsaken for that. Now I can't get it unless I do things that make my blood pressure so high I feel like I need to explode after 5 mins.

  • In all seriousness. If a video game makes you feel that way, you might have some other issues. You are getting so upset over something so small. I have to play game modes I don’t like too... but it is part of the experience. I do not mean to accuse you of anything but this is simply how it sounds. A more positive outlook would go a long way.

  • The other issues are the reason why I need to escape from real life and stress and play video games it's the kind of conflict with real people in a game that I want to play for fun that takes the fun out of the game and turns it into virtual violence and anger is a natural reaction to being attacked by another person in a virtual environment

  • There are plenty of PvE activities that are hard that fit the lore far better than Gambit. You know full well it’s just an excuse to get people to play the new mode. But it is what it is and it’s not changing so off to stand in a corner waiting for invaders 😂

  • I disagree, I think people would have tried the mode out regardless. And it isn't like they're struggling to get people to play it. Most people love it. What lore are you talking about? How would that fit with the quest better? And I'm not being condescending to you, I'm a lore whore, so I'm actually curious as to how you see this the way you do.

  • Try it out? No doubt. Stuck with it? Eh. You either like it or you don’t and judging by the forums it seems pretty 50/50. You would have to give me some kind of proof that “most people love it”. My only thought is Cayde was a Vanguard PvE character. He took us through the whole story and it would be nice for every guardian to be able to wield his canon. I’m not saying there can’t be other quests tied to all kinds of things that are hard. I just think this specific weapon should have been a little more attainable since the whole point of Forsaken is to avenge his death. Just my opinion. No one has to like it. If we were chasing down Shaxx hand canon, then I think a heavily focused PvP quest makes sense. I just don’t buy it with this weapon.

  • Exactly. I picked up the Shaxx quests and kind of just forgot about them with everything else I was doing. Was looking through my bounties and realized I already had 30% or something. The game is FUN AGAIN! People just need to enjoy it.
