Is Masterworks Whisper of the Worm Worth it/Nessacary?
Frankly, i never want to do this quest again. Minus a couple extra orbs, kill counter and a random bonus, is there anything significant i'll be missing out one?

4 RespuestasIf you don’t want to actually do the quest again just solo it and keep opening the chests every weekend. You will eventually get the catalyst done but you won’t get the ship obviously.

It is worth it, not necessary. The extra reload speed is very nice, box breathing is fantastic for now. If you just run the mission once per week and grab the 6 chests you'll get it done over time. But honestly the heroic version isn't too bad. Most importantly be patient. Don't try to rush the jumping part and focus on making your jumps, with a good loadout and staggered supers it's fun and achievable for most people.

Reason -- The infinite ammo refresh perk requires 3 precision shots within a relatively short time frame, so waiting for Box Breathing to reset after the first shot means no ammo reset. Even if you waited for Box Breathing to reset after every 3rd shot and ammo reset, the DPS loss from waiting for Box Breathing to re-activate means that you total DPS output will go way down. Therefore, masterworking the WotW sniper is only good for the extra reload speed and nothing more. Leave it to Bungie to find creative ways of castrating their own top tier creations.

You don’t have to wait for public events, So you can learn the jumping puzzle easier, And you now have the whisper sniper, So you can kill boomer, snipers, and wizards from afar, And the final bosses only take about 12 headshots, While standing in the way back barley get touched.

As well as box breathing, the catalyst increases reload speed for those times when you do miss, or when you are sure you hit a crit shot but the game says otherwise. Also dont forget the awesome ship Once you have run the mission a few times and have a solid strat down, it gets easier. (also the higher the catalyst completion, the more damage dealt in heroic for whisper) 2 weeks ago i usually had 2 mins left on the clock, last week around 5 mins left and this week about 7 or 8 mins left

You get Box Breathing which boosts the weapons damage nearly 30% when the perk is activated.

It would be nice but box breathing is getting nerfed but tbh always nice to have and I know it would take a while but do once for the catalyst then just grab the chest each week may take a while but you will get it with little to no effort or only run on singes you like
