I remember in D1 when they added matchmaking to the nightfall. Worst idea ever. All I ever got was idiots who didn’t know what they were doing, and I lost the option to solo the nightfall. So it actually made it harder to do it! Because now I couldn’t do it solo, or find just 1 friend and 2-man it. Now I had to find 3 friends just to avoid having idiots with us. The matchmaking actually made it harder for me to find enough people to do the nightfall. Matchmaking is not something Destiny needs, nor should it have it.

I think he's confusing the nightfall with the weekly heroic strike.

Okay, once again, because apparently I wasn't clear enough, even though I wrote it in caps. Here we go: [u][i][b]OPTIONAL MATCHMAKING.[/b][/i][/u] That means you have the OPTION to find people through matchmaking. You are not in any way obliged to play the nightfall with randoms. You can still play it alone or with your friends. Jesus %@^$%$@ Christ.

Guided games is not what people were looking for. -
They did that, and it wasn’t optional. It’s apparently beyond Bungie to manage that. But if that’s what you want, then you already have it. Guided Games and the forums are both places to match make. You just have to use them.

The only problem with your post, D1 never had matchmaking. For nightfalls.
