Anyone else not having fun as a solo player?
Anyone else not having as much fun as a single player? I feel like I used to be able to hop in and feel like I accomplished something each time I logged in, but now its feels like im wasting my time. Havent had much luck or motivation to do the raids. I only play solo cause the 10 people or so I could rely on, to play with, gave up on the game. Its probably just me, but was just curious. I really wish they had match making for the content.

Amazed at the responses guys! I just wanted to clarify that yes, I understand that I could use LFG or play a different game (which I do) its just that this game isnt as friendly towards the solo player. I used to have 2 groups of people to play with but they all became jilted by the game and quit. Im essentially the last guy holding out for this game still. Haha. The biggest issue right now I have is loot progression, and something to chase. Like a grasp of malok with the perfect role! LOVE heroic strikes feeling Heroic. I just wish there was a carrot to chase there like in D1. Thanks again for all the responses.

I'm good Every night I'll hop on, do a quest step or two, a few public's, open a few sleeper nodes, I need to do the heroic.. Then on the weekend, I'll lfg up for one nightfall, then hop into heroic strikes It's all the exact same things I did before warming, all the way back to D1. I'm actually having more fun with warmind just because of all the additional things I can do on my own.

Considering that destiny originally catered for groups of players, why then would you start playing on your own? It's like trying to finish off a 14 inch pizza by yourself. You ain't gonna finish it unless you are fat (I couldn't put it any other way) so the only thing you could do is save it for tomorrow or give a slice or two to your friend. So basically, you can't finish the game unless you play it was at too much. You'd have to get people to help you to finish it/do the decent stuff which requires groups. Here are some conclusions: 1. 2 RespuestasI’m 95% solo and as long as you’re happy to just hit milestones, it’s fine. But unless you have an exotic quest etc to do, there’s nothing to do after milestones until reset (keep in mind I don’t like crucible and I’m not into being ‘challenged’ with raids or prestige nightfall etc, I play to relax and have fun). I use the app LFG for nightfalls if no clan mates about. The strikes in D1 with strike specific loot and chest keys kept me going for ages in between resets. There’s just nothing like that now. Challenge of elders was good. I used LFG for that and it would have been fine with matchmaking. Regular nightfalls would be fine with matchmaking. Raids are too complex for random matchmaking. They need some more activities to do in between for very slow light increases. A challenge of elders type mode, strike specific gear etc. Maybe even a weekly or monthly quest to collect parts of a weapon by doing particular steps each week (as long as they can be done solo or with random matchmaking) and at the end of the month you take those bits to the gunsmith for a special monthly weapon. Just more ‘cool’ things to do for more than just cosmetics.

For everyone saying 'Destiny was meant to be a co-op [i]and[/i] solo game (you're not wrong it was) but I think we can all agree Destiny isn't half of what it was meant to be lol.

I now use the built in group finder on my Xbox more then ever to do nightfalls and last night i even did the heroic adventure on mars that way. First time Ive ever done an adventure with others. It was fun and so much easier then doing it solo. I dont raid though, i suppose that will be difficult as a solo to find others now that your mates has jumped ship. The grind is slow though and right now i like it. I might not be as positive in a couple of months. Lol

10 RespuestasI won't play anymore. It's far too reliant on other people. Apart from that they're now locking content behind Trials. I think we have 1 person in the Clan that play's Trials so the new Exotic Ghost shell is impossible for me to obtain. If I can't get all the Exotics I'm wasting my time playing. Ah it’s okay for me. I hit up the couple of people from my clan to come at least knock out the nightfall now though but the rest of the time I’m by myself. Just finished the first round of escalation protocol with 5 randoms and changed up how I play in crucible to combat the new meta. But it’s definitely not solo friendly these days

Match making should be enabled across the board. It should be an option for all the solo players out there who wanna just hop in and start playing. It is a pain having to always go on LFG sites etc, it could definitely be made more user friendly but I understand why they did it as a lot of the content does require teamwork.

If matchmaking had been in the game the issues with finding team members, getting into content and PvP debates would be nigh on extinction, why!? It’s frustrating enough not having enough content, the way the game shipped and all the changes, balances and imbalances causing players to just up and leave, but if the game were streamlined and accessible, a large majority off those would have either played longer or would still be playing due to ease off access and a feeling off something to do and achieve! Bungie, you need to try and understand how a learning curve works, then implement into that your power level and gear caps and separate the content via difficulty and not segregation and lock outs, the segregation and lock outs have gotten you into this mess as it directly effects the state of play! I’m guessing some players are like myself, stand in the tower wanting to play but don’t know what to do because it’s either boring or inaccessible! All you have done is create a divide with your player base, but not through difficulty and learning curve, but by lack off ingenuity and pompous ignorance!

I am, but then I've mostly played solo for D2 anyway. I don't mind the grind, I don't mind searching LFG to do a nightfall here and there. I'm quite happy charging about shooting stuff - I think it's mainly because I don't have an awful lot of time to play each day so the short bursts of D2 are ok. If I wanted to do a weekender then I think i'd have to do it with some pals ........ if they even played anymore haha.

I don’t mind the slower light level increase, I don’t do raids and won’t play trials, so it’s only fair it takes me longer but bungie could at least fix the clan xp engram so it’s actually a powerful engram and also have cayde stop dropping the same shit every week, before warmind it was aeon gauntlets, now it’s synthoceps, not much use to me when the rest of my gear is miles below my gauntlets light level

The grind has become bigger, i personally like itt. It gives me a goal to work to for longer than a week or 2. Once you are level 385 and have your favourite gear 385 youll feel happier than before

I’ve not once felt any real accomplishment in this game as a solo player. I’ve always been in a clan, because I knew that the most fun activities were group activities. Does Bungie need to think about introducing more solo endgame? Totally. But for now, it’s best to start looking for a clan.
