Back in the day, samurai would carry two swords on them: a katana and a wakizashi. With Destiny 2 introducing exotic sets, I think it would be a cool opportunity for them to have one of these sets be based on that whole katana/wakizashi pairing. As to what they would be called, I'm kinda going for the whole Ursa Major/Ursa Minor constellation theme here. So for now, "Big Bear" (katana) and "Little Bear" (wakizashi). Design wise, Big Bear, unlike the other swords, is a sword with a sheath. When someone is using it they keep the sword sheathed and attack with quick sword draw moves. As for Little Bear it would be like the Quickfang, that Hunter exclusive sword. Only without the class exclusiveness. Little Bear would be the legendary weapon in this set. I haven't come up with the perks for it though, but if I had to choose I would pick perks involving ammo. Now to clarify Little Bear would be a power weapon. The reason is that weapons that can be equipped in another weapon slots are usually exotic weapons. In this case, Big Bear, the exotic sword of this set, would be a kinetic weapon. I chose kinetic over energy because I felt it was better suited for what its perks would be. For instance, Big Bear's intrinsic perk, "Don't Poke Me", allows its guard to reflect enemy projectiles, turning those reflected shots into precision hits. Simply put, it's an upgraded Memory of Radegast... with a cooler blocking animation. It's trait would be "Feeding Time": kills with this weapon increases the damage output of your power weapon for 15 seconds, it can stack up to 3 times. And for its special attack, it would be a fast sword drawing attack that causes precision damage. So yeah, that's my little idea. : ) edit: typos... cursed typos.
