Bungie Officializes that our Characters will NEVER Speak Again - My Disagreement
bungie did an AMA with IGN today
one of the questions was if our characters will remain muted, with a simple reply "yup"

first off, it was not in the original dream of bungie studios to have mute characters - - they never felt that way with Halo, and went through the trouble to have * * * SIX * * * different main character voices for vanilla destiny
i think they are just lazy and don't want to spend money on good voice actors they deem "non-essential" - - as it stands right now, * * * GHOST * * * is the main character of the Destiny franchise and our controlled characters are just the supporting cast to his journey

1 RespuestaIn Destiny 1, your character is a corpse resurrected by a brain-dead machine for the sole purpose of killing other walking corpses that are enslaved to a similar power. You have no memory of your previous life, and the only things that differentiate you from the scores of other slaves that you fight alongside and against are the gear you use and the face you made at the starting menu. You make no decisions politically, express no opinions, and your only means of interacting with the world are to kill, observe, and ferry the machine that keeps you "alive" to different computer banks. What exactly are we so worried about "carrying over" to the next game anyways? You'd drop all the gear you have right now if you found better gear, and at that point you're basically a new character.
