It may be just an artists fault or idea to not show the traveler, but maybe the two shows the sky above the city without it.
The picture by night shows the Travelers hull and the burning city and smoke. The same smoke is vissible in the two,mbut in the background there is nothing. The two looks like a cutout in paper, that you place in front of a picture to mask most of it.
But I may be wrong of course.

The Traveler is in the picture, you just don't see the top of it because it's being lit from the bottom

The Traveler is only in the night part of the picture, outside of the "2". The city can be seen inside the "2" without discontinuation. On the other hand the CoD like leaked picture for the early beta access is clearly showing the Traveler at day. It's all speculation in the end. Tomorrow we will know more.
