Day one player here. Year one sucked unless you were in the top 2% of players who had time to put in 30-50 hours of play time a week with a dedicated clan/raid group. Destiny, as a whole, is a much better and rewarding experience now than it was back then. Don't confuse nostalgia for quality. It's like remembering only the good times with an abusive/toxic ex and thinking "I wonder why we broke up?" and you go to get back with them cause you didn't learn your lesson and everything sucks again and you go "Oh yeah..." only to repeat the cycle again and again cause the sex was good but that's about the only thing cause everything else is a soul sucking life draining cesspit so finally get a gun and... *ahem* Not that I know anything about that. Purely hypothetical. 🙄
