Do you think those people that help have some sort of childhood reason for it?

As in what may have happened in their past to look to help others, whatever they feel whether its duty or the will to help because of morals or because they can't stand to see others where they once laid? Do people help because they're good or because they think they owe something to society? Or because they feel guilty? Maybe they did something to someone in the same position before and they made it their wish to change their ways and help and try to put a mask on that experience.

 • I have several friends with depression who talk to me about it. Not because they came to me, but because I can see it and know that they need someone to talk to. I think I've managed to support a lot of people. The reason I do it? Because I'm happy. I've never once felt depressed in my life. I have a really positive outlook on life and living and people in general. So when I see people who can't see that, who think so little of themselves, that want to hurt themselves... I feel like it's an obligation to help them. Because if I'm at the top of the world, I should be helping others get there too.
