After purchasing the game the players will be shown a cut-scene where their guardian is walking into the vanguard hall. Ikora will address the guardian saying "We need some funding for the upcoming war" A prompt will then appear requiring the player to purchase or use 500 silver to continue on with the story. Refusing to pay will result in the "Darkness Consumed you" screen appearing until the player does so.
