What are Bungie doing about DDOSing?

I say Bungie, I mean also Activision, Sony,/Microsoft ISP's and the Authorities. There is plenty of action when a company or government dept gets attacked, but our multi-billion gaming industry is conveniently sweeping this issue under the carpet when it is happening to us gamers. I feel like we are just cash cows to be picked apart by this greedy industry and on top of that, we have those guns for hire, (guaranteed carries = DDOSing among other things), and companies offering port stressing, booting and other DDOSing techniques for cash, yeah, we're just cash cows, being deprived by a shoddy industry and these fly by night cowboy ddossers. Where is the free sofware so we can download it to capture attacks with auto reporting? Destiny's reporting system is lacking and in part threatening to the user if you use the official form, where is the protection from my ISP, at the very least where is the advice from any source to prevent this industry destroying action??? This industry should be getting together and weeding out these assholes. The only thing I can say to do is make sure your router is switched on for DOS and port scan attack prevention. Yes, it will cost the industry a packet (pun) and that will reflect on game prices, but they are going to have to change their setup and delivery of PvP gaming, else it will become a diseased industry, at the moment it is ill!!
