Bungie is an abusive girlfriend.
The constant lies and neglect.... The false promises and lack of activity. But for whatever reason I wanna come back to you even though I know you're full of disappointment and emptiness. I've left for roughly 10 days. I cracked once for a single nightfall run but haven't played since. For some reason I want to play again but I know it'll be a waste of time.
Bungie: in all seriousness, give me a reason to play your game again. If you actually care. (Odds of you caring are slim to none but hell, worth a shot).
Obligatory trending edit: Awesome! We made it! lol but for real i'm enjoying the feedback from this post and a handful of you make some pretty damning points. Also don't take me being hung up on this game seriously, I'm just bored and out of games to play ATM considering I spent every day on this.

But then returns with some new outfit and your out another 40 bucks. With maybe a few new tricks and props to keep you going to leave again. You then go see couples councling and the therapist sides with her the whole time and you lose more money and lose some more of your favorite things. All for the sake of balance.

2 RespuestasI think the main reasons why people continue to play this game is hope. Always hoping something will change and it will make up for all the disappointments, lies and silence from bungie. My other reason is that you can't complete the game. It's why people keep saying most games they play don't last and they always comeback to destiny, um did you think it's because you can complete most of those games? I'd love to see how many people stick to this game after its final stage etc. Who knows, bungie might pull their finger out their asses by then but I highly doubt it.

EDIT to the replies: I think what I said is true. Name another fps with combat mechanics as fluid as this one and I'd love to play it. Seriously. But responding the OP, I think Year 1 I might have identified with the OP somewhat. After Year 1 the game went downhill though.

I've got the feeling that Bungie is done with Destiny, so the state of the game now may just be what we're stuck with until Destiny 2. Bungie, if you're listening, don't -blam!- up Destiny 2, because you'll find a way. Give it a memorable, lengthy story. Fix pvp connection wise and hit registration wise. Add more endgame to do. You'll find that more people will stay, if they're staying because they want to play it over other gigantic titles.

This was the same analogy I've been using. They don't deliver what they promised, and put you don't when you don't agree with them, but you just keep coming back. Then, once you say you're done, they tell you that they've changed, but shortly down the road, you find that they're just up to the same old shit they were up to in the beginning. It's hard to please every one individually with a game meant for hundreds of thousands. Yes, I doubt they have a million or even 500k active players.
