Does Eris Morn Serve Taox?
It could be possible for Eris to serve the last proto-Hive, Taox, to have revenge on her corrupted species for destroying the proto-Hive and her allies, and maybe, [i]just maybe,[/i] Taox will enlist the Guardians to aid her conquest of revenge against the Hive.

I believe somehow Taox will find a way for her consciousness to survive the destruction of her physical body and will eventually merge with The Hive or the Worm Gods (and then The Hive). This will ensure her own survival so long as the Hive continues to exist. Either this or she will have already taken on a worm to ensure her lifespan is extended and then will still eventually become a part of The Hive in the future.

Based on what we know of the proto-hive's lifespan, even as a mother, the only way Taox could still be alive is if she were in stasis, in which case she could not be influencing anyone in the present day. I personally think that at some point we're going to encounter her, as so far no loose thread in this game has refrained from becoming significant.

Revenge against the Hive? She set them up so she can be Queen!!! If anything Oryx should have enlisted our help in order to hunt her down. She even ratted out her own children to another race to provide them with vital info

I haven't found what exactly happened to Taox since she was brought out of stasis by the Ecumene Council and debriefed, but unless she went back into stasis somehow, she would be long dead by the present time in the game. Many do agree that Eris does serve the queen, Mara Sov, though besides being one of Ikora's hidden.
