TFC is practically a slow-shooting scout rifle lol. It has really great range and hits like a dump truck, especially when you proc it's perk. Best you can do is give it a few tries. You'll either love it or you won't. I also like the slow-shooting scouts. I've found a renewed appreciation for jade rabbit, which I used for the scout rifle portion of the quest :)
