The problem with exotics now is.........to make more 'balance' across the board different classes took hard hits. Even in year 1 you still had tiers of exotics with Gjallarhorn reinging supreme. There were some legendaries that were better than exotics (i.e. Black Hammer, VoC, Fatebringer). Since we don't have elemental primaries (except Zhalo) and everything has been nerfed to crap; this is why the guns feel so lackluster. I will admit though with the push for variety, every now and then you can get a pretty unheard of gun with good rolls which is what I guess what devs were going for. Either way I personally feel that if they brought Gally back things would be much better
