I gave it an honest attempt. I really wanted to love it. And if it was what they originally promised to us.. I have little doubt that I'd be all over Destiny's nuts for the next 10 years. I'm a huge MMO and FPS fan. Only two genres I tend to play. So when Destiny was first revealed, my mind was officially in full fanboy mode. "This is all I've ever wanted..." But what we got was just another FPS with all the tediousness of an MMO, but with literally none of the good parts of one. So I still stuck around for a while thinking "well, maybe it'll all come in later DLC or something". Then the first expansion came and all the drama about what really happened to the game during development started to unfold. That's when I realized that Destiny isn't intended to be the game I was hoping for. So I moved on to something else and haven't looked back since. So I won't say "-blam!- Destiny". But it's certainly not something I'm at all interested in.
