I am currently in a search for a fairly cheap rental home to at least get out of the crowded apartment lifestyle. Trying to find a decent rental option (that isn't a scam) is starting to prove difficult (as I am doing a solo rental and trying to keep the monthly rent under $900/month). I am sure some of you out there are either currently going through a similar process or have done so in the past. Does anyone have any good tips for finding good home rentals? Search methods? Are rental listing prices negotiable or are they typically set in stone?
