lol so just because a famous person gives away money to the needy {do note that not all thast money to the needy at all. only probably half since charities are nonprofit and used that money for their own needs), their are worthy of my respect?

Taking some time to look back on and appreciate a life that inspired so many people is a perfectly fine way of dealing with a passing, whether you ever met the person or not. Same with any other holiday honoring the dead, most of which a majority of participants have never met in person.
