As a tree guy, I work in a very different environment than most. We don't have an HR department, or a long chain of command. It's basically me, the owner of the company, and our crew of about 20. So most of the time we settle our differences rather quickly by stepping out of our workyard and throwing blows with each other. Doesn't happen all the time, but it certainly happens. The reason I mention all this is because it seems like 99% of the time, the issues between each other end right there. They pick themselves up off the ground, go home, and come back the next day and all their bullshit is over. And because of this we have one of the tightest groups of people I've ever worked with in my life. These guys are like family to me. So I guess the point I'm trying to make is that sometimes the best way to move passed issues with "bad" peers is to get it all out on the table and air it all out. I'm not saying physically. But just pulling someone aside and saying "Hey man, you're pissing me off and this is why.." can do a lot towards solving your problems.
