So I purchased Destiny roughly a week after Christmas. In all rights of the word I'm a Taken-tot. But I can say for more than just myself, that we're being cheated out of content. I mean, I don't have nearly as much experience as some people, but come on guys. Why would you put so much effort into year 1 content, and then make it irrelevant? A decent and well formed explanation would be fantastic. But I have yet to see or hear about this counter argument. When I started getting more active in Destiny raids became my focus. All I wanted to do was take on these cool larger than life bosses, meet new people, use cool guns, and have fun. The only raid I ever heard discussion about was King's Fall. In my opinion it is a fantastic DLC. I immensely enjoyed every aspect of the Taken King. But then I noticed other raids. Vault of Glass? Crota's End? Sure I'd heard about Crota in the campaign, and I'd been to the vault of glass, but why wasn't I fighting these creatures. What was Atheon? Why is King's Fall the only raid I hear about. And then I heard something over and over again. Its not relevant. The content is old. Outdated. Bungie made year one useless. And the one question everyone has is, why? Did you think everyone would would be okay with this content they loved being stripped from them? This game is absolutely fantastic. I've never played anything like it and I doubt I ever will. But when you've played one raid so many times and it's all you can do, it's just a let down. Why can't we enjoy what the game was? No, we're forced to deal with what it is with no explanation as to why it's like this. People lost their armor, guns, nightfalls, raids, and so much content and we aren't even being told why. I'm not the only one who feels this way and I'm positive of that. And while I may not have the grounds to speak back to year 1, something I can say for sure is. No matter if you're started today, got the game last christmas, you've played since beta; none of that matters. What remains the same between all players is the fact we've been cheated, and we've been let down horribly. Even with today's Crimson Days event. We don't want dances, or infuriating trials of osiris-esk combat. We want content, story, characters, challenges. We want what we've had or didn't get to experience. And if you refuse to give us back what we deserve, than an explanation is all but required. Thank you for you time and to all who read, thank you for reading.
