Holy Christ, Bungie. Learn how to do "micro"transactions.
Before the fanboys jump down my throat with all that "it's optional" shit, at least try to consider what I'm saying here. If Bungie wants this form of monetization to work, they can't keep doing it how they are.
A THIRTY DOLLAR boost, to what wasn't even the game's maximum vanilla level?
A seven dollar book that tracks race scores?
You had a decent start just offering animations as microtransactions, and while they were a bit costly, they were at least decent. Okay, I thought, maybe they have something here. But now you're not only offering them for the silliest shit, but the prices are way jacked.
Do you think this will bring you the income you need? Because it won't. Look at how every other game does it. Small visual attachments, colours for armour and weapons, things like that. You can offer new sparrow models, armour attachments like badges or plating, more animations from different greetings to revive effects, even different colours for abilities.
If you want microtransactions to work, you're doing it wrong.
