Destiny was reportedly a $500 million investment to be stretched over a 10 year plan.. They made all that back plus more on Day 1 of vanilla release. They sold two seperate DLC for $40 total... TTK was treated as a re-release they put out an entirely new SKU @ a $60 price tag.. Yes you could get TTK for $40 if you were already in to the game..
