No, if you were to actually think about synergies you could create it wouldn't be a waste in the slightest. What would Ace of Spades have over, say, an Ill Will with Third Eye, Firefly, Triple Tap, Explosive Rounds, and Armor Piercing Rounds? Or an Auto Rifle with Battle Runner, Lightweight, Single Point Sling, Hip Fire and Hip Fire? etc etc.
