The thing I don't get about people is how you arbitrarily decide what to be mad over. Nf, heroic strikes, raids, dailies, weekly crucible, loot tables, & probably more aspects of this game are time gated in one way or another, so why are you so upset over exotics? They'll come out when they come out. You aren't being robbed of anything if you never had it to begin with.

  • You're mistaken two aspects, resets and time gating. We have access to all of that content. We can play it as much as we want, we can just only get rewarded once per week/day. This is entirely different. Content that was advertised to be included in the taken King is NOWHERE in sight. Half of all the exotic armors, gone. Time gating would be okay, if they actually acknowledged it. They gave no indication that this content would be excluded, and there has been no comment on the matter for 2 months.

  • Resets ARE time gating. That's the simplest way to explain it, so if you can't grasp that idk what to tell you. & what about iron banner/trials? They entirely disappear for periods of time & they were advertised. & what about hard raids? They were advertised & they didn't ship out when their respective dlc did.

  • I completely get what you're saying, but the difference is we were AWARE of this. We know that iron banner is sparatic, we knew upon the launch of the Taken King that the hard raid would not be available. We DIDN'T know that half of the exotic armors had been removed for an unspecified amount of time. There has been complete and total silence on Bungie's part. And yes, although the weekly reset is technically a time gate, it only accounts for rewards. You can play the nightfall after beating it for the week. Same with dailies, raids, strikes. This isn't just timegating of progression, it's the flat out removal of content, you see? We had no idea the content would be excluded and now we have no idea when it will be open to earn.

Yea I'm just saying be more patient. We know they're coming, so there's no point in upsetting yourself while you wait for it.

  • The point is to make people aware that this isn't an okay business practice. TIME GATING IS OKAY. This isn't. And although there's a very high chance of them coming, that isn't technically guaranteed. They haven't commented on the matter at all, you know. Might be in the next paid expansion (as happened with the FoaF/ JR and Vesta/Boolean).

  • Ahh. Tbh, I didn't keep up with the taken king reveals, but if they explicitly said 18 armor exotics will be in ttk & they never release the new ones, I'll side with you. But we still have months before we can confirm or deny if they're falsely advertising
