Well match making will cause problems for me, especially in raids. If me and a friend are going to duo the raid or if I want to solo it I can't, if someone leaves my fire team and Some random Joins I will kick them and he'll the community will hate this everyone will be salty. All you will see is "I matchmake into a raid and get kicked! But I'm 289 light pls" hard stuff requires team gathering. I'm sorry but deal with it.
