I really didn't bother with trials on how. But I'm really wanting to give it a shot. My k/d isn't fantastic, but I see a lot of people with 1.0 to 1.5 k/d with trials gear. I tend to stay at a range so probably a pulse rifle, red death or bad juju? And a sniper. Probably just an mg for my heavy slot. Haven't found a decent rocket. Any tips for mid to long range player?

Play with people you know and can communicate and stay calm with, pulse are a good option or scout, definitely use a high impact sniper like 1000 yard or still piercer so you can snipe the rez, and most importantly have fun.

Maybe try a scout rifle. They are very very good in crucible and for mid to long range they can even challenge some snipers (depending on the snipers accuracy).

Now this is a tip that applies to everyone, no matter what try to stay calm, resulting in anger will only make you play worse and then you'll result in more anger.

Trials is all communication, map knowledge and teamwork. Now your skill does come in play but try not to 1v1 someone if you not confident. A 2v1 not in your favor, regroup and make a plan. If it's 2v3 in your favor rush it and try to wipe the other 2 before they rez their 3rd. Now the most important thing is COMMUNICATION. Just saying "sniper! Then saying his location" Can change the whole flow of the game and make a win.

You switch to truth for heavy round so just have a good legendary primary ready to go for 1 round where all you do is shoot truths and snipe anyway
