Variks able to speak English
I know this isn't anything new as he was introduced in HoW. But, I started thinking about it when my friend made a pretty funny impersonation of Variks saying, "Petra fine ass Awoken, yesss?" ... Anyway I've been curious as to how he is able to output the English language.
I assume there are two options for him to be able to speak English.
1. He learned it somehow.
2. Some sort of technology manpulates his Fallen language into English while keeping his personality in words and in speech.
I think the latter is more interesting and cooler to Destiny.
If in Destiny there were to be allies with Guardians, I think Fallen would fill the role. They were once a noble race similar to our Golden Age and have had things taken from them. If there were Fallen allies could you have an option to speak in Fallen language so they can understand you? Should Destiny explain how Variks is able to communicate with us?

believe that Variks learned English from his time in the Reef. But I believe that number 2 is partially correct. As in I think that he has a translator.

3 RespuestasThe house of judgement is like the house of scribes for the fallen. In order to judge the fallen to keep them on track, they need to understand other races and cultures. It's only natural that they would learn new languages so they can learn about other cultures and judge what's right and wrong.

The fallen were a peaceful, civilized species until the traveler abandoned them in their time of need. To survive they turned to being basically space pirates and fled from this enemy ( now thought to be oryx and his two siblings ) the fallen now search for world's for each house to inhabit and scavenge it's resources. One thing most houses have in common though is the desire to get revenge on the traveler for abandoning them when they needed it most. Personally I think the only reason the traveler is still with us is because it is now to weak to run so it instead created the guardians to protect it
