If it's time based, then why is it that when oryx makes a taken that this is considered a paracausal weapon? The ecumenes called it a paracausal weapon, that was also an ontological pathogen. I don't see what creating taken has to do with time travel.

It could also be related to alternate dimensions and control over reality. The Vex's weapons are paracausal
