  • It can be either, it's hard to balance a PvP format that allows players to select their own weapons/classes. Even more so when a weapon's usefulness is often defined by the RNG perk rolls that are applied to them. The problem is that 'competitive' in most player's minds equates to balance. Which is hard to achieve with such a diverse selection of classes/weapons. Most players can agree there's still a fair bit of work to be done in future patches on this front, but it's certainly improving. As for the argument against supers, I don't think they reduce the competitive aspect. All of them can be countered, and the particularly mobile/lethal ones give off a clear warning sound that can help you anticipate the situation. For fast ones like FoH and Nova Bomb, just avoid close quarters and don't camp the heavy ammo spawns like many players do. Awareness is essential in all PvP situations to manage enemy supers and make the choice to run or gun.
