The numbers that die from war, plauge, genocide, and famine are the same as they would be if they died from old age.

According to [i]your[/i] argument, if I shot & killed someone (not that I would, Ninjas - I'm talking hypothetically here!) then that could be argued as not bad because that person would've died from old age, at some time? That's correct, yet peace allows those people to live out their lives until whenever their natural or unfortunate death may be. Just because the end result is the same, doesn't mean that it's okay to tolerate the unnecessary acceleration of pain & suffering.

Your post was based solely on the fact that it is intelligent to suggest that the death of innocents can be argued as okay simply because the end result is the same.
