What Bungie Should Have Done
So the Taken King DLC has recently been released with overwhelming negative feedback. Not so much because of the content, but because of Bungie's marketing tactics. Now had they wanted to avoid this chaos, here are somethings from hindsight:
*Give everybody the new level 40 cap. For free.
*Allow access to legendary marks and revamped year one exotics. Make new TTK items DLC exclusive.
*Offer a discount to people who bought prior DLCs. I recommend $5 to $10 per DLC. Fan loyalty is the key to success.
* Give them their VIP rewards.
Strong-arming is NEVER a good business tactic, especially when its such a high-profile company.

I've seen much more positive feedback than negative. I've seen he handful of complaints on forums, but in a game with this many players, that is a statistically irrelevant number of players. All-around, looks to be a massive success and in my opinion, was definitely worth it. Can't say the same for the previous DLCs, but I'm not gonna knock Bungie while they're on the upswing.

You know.... i was a bit blah over spending 40 for a dlc..... then I played it and it was worth every cent. So these post eill continue to show up but its irrelevant.
