No. Just no. Before the patch, the last time they tuned weapons they gave shotguns a 200% damage increase.
I used my full auto solar matador in the nightfall yesterday and it wrecked.

Editado por arosa-gti: 9/9/2015 4:21:37 PMSolar burn* 45% of 200%= 110% => just a 10% increase respect vanilla but with just a 10% critical multiplier (it was 25% pre 2.0) Conclusion:
The shotguns are as useless as on vanilla
-
Have you even played yet? All your statistics your posting are worthless. I used shotguns on pve enemies yesterday and they are still very powerful.
-
Editado por arosa-gti: 9/9/2015 4:29:28 PMDid you used them on the arena?? On a nightfall with burn?? I haven't played 2.0 yet, I'm just telling you how maths work and what bungie said on the weekly update.
Bungie could be wrong anyways, they are pretty far from being perfect (thorn is still OP)
-
I know how math works mother fkr. A 50% decrease after a 200% increase is still 150% more powerful than vanilla destiny shotguns. And no, arena is gay af. Yes I ran nightfall. And did strikes and story missions. High level pve enemies still get wrecked by shotguns. Also, the nerf to wolfpack rounds on gjallarhorn is not really noticeable. It still wrecks.
-
Apparently you don't know how math works.
-
Editado por arosa-gti: 9/9/2015 5:09:50 PMHigh level = 33-34. Again, the 45% of 200% is 110% (based on the patch notes). But as I said before bungie could have explained it bad. Yeah, I know the gjally still wrecks but just on year one content, it will be technically worse than a ttk blue rocket launcher on 5-6 days.
-
Lol. Good math.
actually really bad math
-
Your face is good math. Stop trolling on the bungie forums and get a life. Shotguns still wreck in PvE end of story.
-
Whether they're good or not isn't the point here. Let's do some math. Let's say shotguns started at 1. After the first buff they went to 2 (100% increase). They've been reduced by 45% in the latest patch. 45% of 2 is .9. Subtract .9 from 2 and you get 1.1. 1.1 is 10% greater than 1. Shotguns are now 10% better than launch, not factoring the precision damage nerf.
-
Actually bro. I don't need to read the rubbish you posted. Fk your math. OP's topic is about whether shoguns are still good in PvE. They are. Go home troll.
-
Alright "bro". Have fun with your shotguns "bro".
-
No they dont lol you suck bro
-
Your face sucks bro. lol. Jk. You knw I love u bby
-
Ruhroh maths is tough.
-
Derher. Bread makes me poop derher.
-
Umm no that isn't a 10% increase its 110%... Still more than twice as good as vanilla
-
You don't know how percentages work do you?
-
I do, clearly you don't. A 110% INCREASE is different from changing the damage TO 110% of the previous value.
-
100% of a number is that number. 110% of 100 is 110. When you increase a number by 100% it means you double it. When a number is increased by 10% it is 110% of the original number. This is what's wrong with education nowadays.
-
That's exactly what I was saying..
-
No, you were saying that shotguns are more than twice as good as vanilla, when they are only 10% better.
-
No they aren't. They got a 200% INCREASE so the damage went to 300% of the original value. It's now reduces to 110% INCREASE instead of 200 and now it is sitting at 210% of the original value.
-
200% of an original is the same as a 100% increase. Like I said, you really don't understand it.
-
You are saying the same thing. You just said it's a 100% increase. That means twice as good as it originally was. Not 10‰ increase.
-
I give up, can someone else in the topic try to explain it to him/her.
