Unfortunately it will never happen for Taken King. Bungie/Activation have their profit targets/ predictions and they'll probably meet that with the current pricing. If they reduce the international prices to make more sense then they'll need to increase the US prices.
Can you imagine the shitstorm?
All we can hope for is that our voices are heard and they adjust the prices accordingly for future DLC's before announcing the price.
Even given all that, the fact this ever happened in the first place is ludicrous.
Plus a more reasonable price would be £32.50 because that's got the VAT added on.

Destiny has already exceeded their targets the first week the game came out. They also made a billion dollars less than a years time.

You and I will ever know what their projections are, it's obvious that they are outperforming expectations. CE are already sold out everywhere.
