Well said. I enjoy the graphics and mechanics of destiny. It is my all time favorite FPS. The closest second is COD world at war. But what really keeps me on is the social aspect of the game. The gear grind almost drove me away. HoW brought me back. All gear was relevant which meant that all content was relevant. I could use any end game gun for any activity. I have a mix match of guns from Vanilla to HoW. But being able to use fang, timepiece, or FB in Poe was fun. Each new gun was evaluated against the others in my inventory. If it fired better, good sights, low recoils, and good perks I would keep them. That is what the game designers should be focused on. Telling us to move on makes we want to move another game. Bungie is doing a horrible job in retaining its loyal fan base.
