You can't objectively say which one is better. I have and used both of them. The hopscotch is really solid but I enjoy the feel of the messenger better. Just preference.

I think you can objectively say the Hopscotch is better, because stability is better to have then range. I have never once been in a fight with the hopscotch were it needed more range. I won't fault you if you like the messenger better, but stat wise the hopscotch is the winner.
