Iron banner machine lord strategy?
It feels almost impossible to keep heavy ammo with a machine gun, let alone even get heavy ammo to begin with in iron banner. I'm a decent player, it's just that I can never get any heavy ammo, and even if I do, I can't seem to keep it very long.
What strategies are there for getting heavy, keeping it, and then earning those machine lord medals?

2 RespuestasSome advice and scenarios that work for me. Get the ammo and get out of their quick. Jolder's with aggressive, field scout and rangefinder or BTRD with aggressive, hidden hand and max stability. camp a flag but from a distance so you have LOS of the enemies' approach. squat to stay off radar. Have a plan to escape should you run into too many opponents. Exodus Blue - Hang out in the back so you can see A and the entrance to B. Big open area so you can keep distance and pick people off. I do not like the other side as it is too easy to get shotgunned due to all the objects in the way. Rusted lands - lots of open areas. I like to hang by the big oil tankers to the right of the building that houses A and catch opponents coming from C. I also like to hang near the heavy between B & C. You can cover C while picking opponents off all around B. Shores of Time - Got to have B. You can squat near B and wait for them to try to cap B. You can move to the other side of B and you can catch them in the open. You can go into the circle room and catch them coming from A. Asylum - I try to stay outside of the buildings on either side and catch them in the open. The B room can be dangerous if the enemy picks up the other heavy and jumps into the room with rockets. Anomaly - I tend to grab the A heavy and take the clockwise route towards C. If I get the C Heavy, I go counter clockwise towards A. Low chance of getting flanked if you are watching your radar. Pantheon, the long hallway is your friend. These seem to work best for me. So long as I get one of the first 4 maps (and am able to pick up a heavy) I can usually get at least 1 machine lord.

Make sure you can watch all entrances 5. Kill someone and fight that urge to top off your mag. Don't switch your weapon either 6. Kill 2 more 7. Repeat steps 5-6 until done or out of ammo. If out of ammo return to step 1.

Grab your heavy and hang back for a while for the other team to use up there rockets then find good spot with cover to wreck people. Works every time.

Use Against All Odds or BTRD at mid range with lots of cover for you to use.

Get heavy. Look at deaths on the side until you count 6 Come out and get 3 kills and don't reload Then go on a kill streak

Step 1 have a high stability machine gun Step 2 pick up heavy ammo ( hardest part for me as usually die when getting it or when the timer runs out) Step 3 ( most important) sit back let the heavy guns shoot it out and thin out the rocket users etc Step 4 when time is right wait on a zone and basically defend it Step 5 don't reload until you have 3 kills then reload Rinse and repeat Works best on rusted lands map

Camp heavy, wait for heavy to spwn, grab heavy as teammates run at you, run and camp for 2 mins, burst out get 3 kills die throw match leave repeat. Seems like this is how everyone in ib is getting it done.

Thunderlord + controlled bursts = profit.

The big thing to keep in mind is that every time you go to kill someone with that lmg is that you are committing to a fight. In order to make the best use of your heavy, only commit to fights you know you can win. Also, just stay the hell away from people when heavy first comes out. Rockets are designed to shutdown lmg users, just survive until they are spent then go to town.

I feel your pain. That is one of the worst bounties. What I do grab a good machine gun like Jolders or thunderlord and wait for people to use their heavy to kill others with heavy and then go in and let it rip. Good luck guardian.

Don't think about it. Kill guardians and let the bounties fill themselves. You'll have more fun. Buuuuut I like the 100round clip of the corrective measure to help with that bounty

I have had trouble with this too. Just bad luck when or if I got heavy. My jolders with field scout really helps though IF I get the heavy that is. Once the rockets are gone it's a bit easy but there's always some people with other heavy machine guns.

Basically dont die, reload or swap weapons and you will cakewalk it. This is easy

Very good advice. Twilight gap or Asylum. Easiest bounty there.

DON'T REALOAD. Hide until people run out of rockets. If you are on warlock, use radiant skin to rush groups of people with your LMG. If you are on Titan, use your bubble with blessings to stop you dying.

I'd go with field scout( if you have an lmg from before HoW) or casket mag on a high impact lmg because 3-6 bullets kill a guardian and if you can't aim, you'll need extra bullets in case you miss

Buy or roll a machine gun for extended mag if you don't already have one. Stay away from heavy and let someone else grab it but stay close enough so it drops (be ready to run in case someone runs up with a super). Once you have heavy run away from conflict zones, let everyone run head first and use all or most of their heavy before going towards anyone. Usually try to sit back and guard your spawn zone (a or c) so when someone come towards it you can pick them off. Remember not to switch weapons or reload.
