Only able to comment on your headline, the rng system is absolutely geared to keep you playing if you can skip out on like two weeks then bust out everything across all your characters you should get a few nice rewards man. The more hours you have, the more aggressive you've gotta be about getting what you need. Or just stop playing altogether and pick it back up after a few weeks. Destiny will still be around man.
