Servers seem to be back online. I tried logging in around 1:00 AM (GMT) and they were finally working. Although, I still need to check them as of today.

I have the same issue. Third day generic can't connect to servers issue. Worked fine for two days. I have a new Xbox One arriving Monday and had planned to buy the game and DLC. Given bungie's failure to do so much as acknowledge the issue, I'm not so sure anymore I may just play Bloodbourne instead. I suspect they have disabled the demo logins to save resources for paid users. Given they seem to be suffering from a resource problem. Actually owning it would go a long way.

Yeah I downloaded the demo 3 days ago and I haven't even been able to play the game yet, I have good connection but it just keeps saying "servers unavailable".. This really sucks because I was thinking about buying this game and I'm already very frustrated with the servers.. And if you go to their servers page in the help section it says they are all up and running so whyyyyyyyyyyyy

Dude its dirt cheap for like $20...just buy it and be a sucker like the rest of us.

Totally agree i've tried getting the demo on ps3 and "servers are not available" and then i tried on xbox 360 and the same so Bungie do something lol
