It's all over the place in Crota's End, and also the Temple of Crota. It's featured in the emblem called "Dark Harvest", so that makes me think it is intended to look like an ear of wheat, and it's not just a coincidence. I like it (in fact I'm using that emblem on my Hunter right now), but I think it's an odd choice for a Hive logo. What do the Hive have to do with agriculture?
