There are no leaves on the Moon. Or almost anywhere, with the exception of a little bit of Venus.
Furthermore, please note that a grand total of 4 (four) leaves is not fooling anyone.
At best, you look like you fell asleep in the park.

Visually yeah.... they look ridiculous. However, they could maybe be to cover the scent of humans. Like they're some odorous leaf from Venus that is used to prevent the fallen from sniffing us out?
