This is what I have:
A theory exists that the nine is actually the dev team for bungie. Nine characteristics represent how us humans in the real world are different. If the nine controls xur, then that would make sense about how people think that. Bungie would control his loot table thus making it the nines will.

No the nine is a actual group in the plot. Part of the reason the queen opened the reed to guardians is because the nine were getting curious about her hidden treasures. So to get rid of their curiosity she opened the reef and prison to the guardians to get rid of some of her treasures.

Here is another one I have: super good advice was buried on mars because it is a piece of cabal tech. Cabal weapons can fire forever because their rounds information as existing things go back to the mag to be shot again. The same piece of tech is used with super good advice. This would be why lord chaxx honored palaman(I think that is his name) on Mars.
