Note: Please don’t bring up or mention Crucible. Thank you. So, I am going to keep this relatively short. I raid a lot on Destiny, mostly Crota’s End. Unfortunately, I have not been lucky enough to get a Gjallarhorn—despite having over 200 hours of playing time—but I have been lucky enough to get Truth in my arsenal. Lately I have been using Truth as my go-to launcher for both Crota’s and Vault of Glass (before that I was using Hezen Vengeance, which, in my opinion, is great if your aim isn’t terrible). Some people I have raided with scorch me for using Truth because it does not do as much damage as Gjallarhorn, thus they think I will have a difficult time taking down gatekeepers in the Vault of Glass, or Swordbearer during the Crota fight. The two things that attract me to the truth is its aggressive tracking and proximity detonation, and its void damage. So my question, really, is, does Truth have lacklustre utility in PvE as far as damage is concerned? Obviously I know that Gjallarhorn does a ton more damage because of the Wolfpack Rounds, but does Gjallarhorn make Truth obsolete when it comes to raids, and during the fight with Crota? I would like to hear people’s opinions. Cheers!
