Why do players have to JIP on rumble?

Is (Join In Progress) necessary in crucible rumble? Is it more of a nuisance to find yourself joining a game that is 5 minutes in? If a player or two leaves a game, is it really important to have another player join in? Bungie, whenever it's five people or eight a FFA game has no teams, so why have players JIP? Why have people do JIP rather than players starting a fresh new game? Could you change this bungie? Ask yourselves: Does JIP benefit rumble/FFA games?

  • I like joining games that are at most like 500-800 points in. Anything above that and you're realistically going to have to play at a Sum of All Tears pace in order to get the W. Likewise with 6v6 or 3v3 gamemodes. If the other team has 3x the points or 3/4 of total score and someone / majority quit it should just mercy rule the game.
