Searching for Gjallarhorn
I'm scouring and searching everywhere for the best and most likely places to get/aquire the infamous and saught after weapon in all of destiny. So if anyone has any ideas or suggestions for me, OTHER THAN play just play Crota ands hope you get lucky.. then let me know.

Lastnight during VoG HM we had 4 Fatebringers drop from the Templar, 2 Gjallahorns drop from the exotic chest and 1 Gjallahorn drop on Atheon. Craziest shiit I've seen on the VoG. The best thing I can tell you is just keep grinding bro. It took me over 650 hours to get my Gjallahorn and I just got my 1st Fatebringer lastnight.

I think Legendary engrams and Raid exotic chest is the best place to get it. So do strikes and Raid imo will be the best place to get it.

I've gotten two. One from crucible and one from a legendary engram out of vanguard roc. It's random, of course, so your best bet is to just play activities that'll give you engrams or exotics.

Dismantle all your current exotic then run the dark within mission on level 30. You have to melee kill every enemy in the darkness zone and you will be rewarded with a gjallarhorn at the postmaster after it

I mean.. I got my first one from Crota's end death singer... And I just got my second one from killing atheon hard mode.. So... I believe doing the raids help out a lot. BUT it's all on RNG so.. It can be anything

15 RepliesWell You can possible have about 15 tries at a gjallarhorn per week. 3 Crotas, 3 atheons, 3 nightfalls, 3 exotic chests in VoG ( 1 per character), 3 death singers.

400+ hours nightfall weekly on 3 characters just got it last night from crota. I don't think there's any special place other wise believe me I would have found it now. Crota seems to be a good spot though... I got mine on normal

1 ReplyI don't think there is a guaranteed way to get it. What seems to work for me and makes my friends laugh is I complain to them about what I am missing and then we run either the raid or the nightfall and then poof there it is. This week I complained that I needed the gjallahorn and sure enough it dropped for me in the nightfall. They are now asking me to complain on their behalf because destiny seems to be listening, now where is that mythoclast!

I finally got one a couple of nights ago from a legendary engram that dropped from a random kill while on patrol in the Cosmodrome. Go figure.
