How exactly is lowering the effective range of ARs going to affect your PvE play? I'm honestly curious because ARs will still work the exact same at close to mid range and that's the only place they're viable in PvE already. If you're currently using your AR as a long range weapon in PvE, I'd love to know why. The only place they are a viable option at range is in the Crucible and they're too good from too far out in there. That's why they're also widening the shot cone of fusion rifles, they're meant to be mid range weapons. With the right perks, some were allowing people to get one hit kills from way further out than intended. Again this change will improve PvP and have zero effect on PvE. You're not long range killing shit with fusion rifles in PvE and if you are, you're doing it wrong. I understood the anger at the Vex nerf because it was so hard to get and was supposed to be the best weapon around. I don't understand all the anger at making entire classes function properly. And when they're all viable in PvP at scout range, they're not functioning properly.

 • I understand the thought process behind what they're doing and I agree with most of it. I just don't like that it seems Bungie is constantly trying to please its community in crucible by reading people's complaints on certain weapons. Until I have a Bungie exec prove that it doesn't affect PvE, I'm gonna continue to say IT DOES AFFECT IT! By changing the mechanics of certain weapons it affects both. Example: As I state all over the thread about ARs, I saw a complete difference in my suros after the last patch in both PvP and PvE. Yes it evened it out a little on both sides but the point is it changed in both. That means other weapons will follow suit. I can live with a 2.5 nerf on ARs and fusion rifles being tuned down but if you've ever been low in ammo and are being cross map sniped what then? Do you just take a death? No you give all you got and try to hit him, this patch could possibly eliminate that and overpower certain weapons at long ranges. That aside I'm not tearing into snipers and I love to use any weapon I can get my hands on that does decent in battle. This patch could truly make or break the game so we'll see how it goes...
