i queued up against ewoktapus and one of their hunters one game.
they blow. they just hang together all the time and use whatever OP weapons that they've acquired in their 7 billion hours of gameplay and run into all the common camps spots aiming down sights.
they both had 5k scores. i was roughly the same, alone, on a team of singles, and we won.
playing on a full coordinated team of 6 people doesn't make you good, it just makes you a guy that needs a team to win games.
luminosity is probably the only guy who would absolutely destroy if he were on a random team, alone. the rest of them are just average players who only ever play together and farm bounty-running scrubs.

I've played against luminosity a couple times. Once was a bit of a throw, since half my team quit when they realized we were against a coordinated team. The second time was in iron banner. Hell of a match. He's hard to pin down, but we squeaked by with the W. I've talked to him here on the forum a bit, cool guy.

Not to throw salt on you or anything or hate but the most kills you have are with thorn and hawk moon, you obviously use what guns you know you'll win with but playing as a team using these guns do your perhaps think that pads the k/d a little?

thats what i'm saying. all these "hey look im MLG" dbags on a game that isn't even competitive. if this was a game that matched you up against only other good players of equal ranking, where do you think your precious kd ratio would be? but grats on farming casuals on a super coordinated group of 6 players for 8 hours a day? must make you feel cool or something.

That's why they need to have mercenary mode for people going in without a fire team and a mode that matches teams up so they have to play better people, but it's not there.

Teamwork is EVERYTHING, if you can work together with a team to get the win, you are a good team player, low kills or not. That's what Invigorate did very well. Just because some of them can't play free for all well doesn't mean they're horrible, it means that they can work together. One thing you are missing.

Honestly, no. A good player can work fantastically alone, but incomparably when with a team that truly complements their skills. If you isolate their skills, most of these guys needed Heavy Ammo to start actually holding their own. The first Heavy Ammo drop, and second, had a surge of kills from the other team because, obviously, they seem to only be able to get kills en masse with them. THAT speaks more about this 'unbeatable team' than anything else.

it has some value, of course. but look at it this way, if you boast about how good you are when you only play with the same group of guys, that says something about you. i have a 1.72kd. not great. but for a guy with no clan, who plays every game alone, i'd be interested to see where i'd be if i were playing with invigorate every single time i step foot in the crucible.. so your stats aren't very telling when your stats are inflated or deflated by your team.

This is true, I played all the iron banners alone for the most part and don't quit, unless you camp super hardcore which doesn't work if you're overrun even you will take some hits to your k/d, I also use bad juju and multi tool as my primary not every op gun in the game, there is a huge difference between always playing in a group and playing solo more
