Always do the engram first , which stats did you get that were better?

Bought don't touch me from him last week. Then bought the engram, turned out the engram was don't touch me but stronger stats. He sells don't touch me again with even higher stats than the engram... I take this logic and buy engram I get warlock gloves he is selling but weaker....
