So, what do you use Strange Coins for in Iron Banner? I thought the Iron Lords dealt in Motes of Light…

The Tempered Bonus? That costs a Mote of Light unless they changed something on me when I wasn't paying attention.

I might be mistaken. I must be thinking of the weapon reforging, it's one or the other. I just know I spent both during the last two events.

Nope. :) Weapon reforging costs 2 Motes of Light, the 12- hour Tempered bonus costs 1. Lord Saladin don't need no stinking Strange Coins. =P

Silly me, you're right. Both the coins and motes occupy the same category to me. Since I have such an ample supply of both, I don't even notice when I spend them for the most part. Looks like the Coins are even more useless than I though.

Lol. Well you could stock up on some Exotic Shards and Ammo Synthesis anyway.

I've got at least ten currently. They really need to address the ridiculous amount of different currencies, and/or the horrible loot system. If their RNG worked properly, we wouldn't have to rely on Xûr for Exotics. After about 800 hours, I still am missing quite a few Exotic weapons. I keep getting multiples of the same things I already have. At this point in time, that is all I have left in the game to do, collect all of the Exotics. However, I continue to get skunked on all of my Nightfall runs. For some reason I have been getting tons of Shards and Coins, instead of weapons or gear.
