Black Hammer, HOC and Raid Helmet
With the introduction of hard mode, it seems impossible to get these items doing the raid on hard.
Do you suggest I do it on normal and hard? I know that makes it a possibility not to get the crux, but let's be honest, who would trade a necrochasm with a HOC or Black Hammer right now?
#UPDATE# So I ran the raid on normal with both characters, first run got me shards which was great. Second got me the song of ir yut, so it's a start. Did it on hard with 1 character and got the Crux! Which was great, although the Necrochasm will probably stay in my vault till it's buffed. But the most frustrating thing keeps happening. I was awarded No Land Beyond for the 3RD TIME in the space of a week. Someone in my fireteam got Hawkmoon. This game man..

Got everything from hard raid except the ship. Sow next week i will be doing normal crota 3 times for song of ir yut and my buddy for the blackhammer.

It does seem running it on normal will net you those weapons, I got the song, which I dismantled straight away...

Black hammer AND hunger of crota do NOT drop from hard mode however the helmet does

Got almost every gun from CE. I'm struggling to get any armors.

Still missing the hammer aswell,Ive gotten 2 warlock helms from normal and 1 from hard,1 hunter helm from normal and none from hard mode,1 titan helm in normal and 1 in hard mode.Only reason to run the normal raid is for the hammer.

Secondaries and heavies are normal mode only I'm pretty sure. Helmets can drop from both. I'm positive of this as I received my first raid helm on normal and got a duplicate the first time I ran hard.

23 RepliesDoing it on hard gives you both sets of rewards. So doing it on normal is pointless if you hava a hard-mode raid team.

Do normal if you want any of the NON-PRIMARY WEAPONS. Hard mode is higher chances of helmet and only primaries.

Helmets are dropping frequently in hard but black hammer and hunger of crota will not. I'd gladly trade necro for black hammer...

4 RepliesYeah definitely run both normal and hard mode. Get more drops, more shards/energy. I'm still looking for a HoC and raid helmet so I'm going to keep running normal as well as hard to improve my chances.

1 ReplyI got all 4 pieces of raid gear on normal and still don't have HOC or Blackhammer. So I'd say just run normal till you get what you want. Only special thing about necrochasm is that it does 339 attack(lvl 33 damage)

I've gotten the helmet three times on hard. It's more likely to get it on hard than on normal. You may get a secondary weapon but you're better of running it on normal first.

That's pretty crazy. I was [i]lucky[/i] enough to get 4 helmets by the 3rd week of the DLC and had all of the normal weapons except the fusion rifle about a week later. I now have the hard weapons except crux to get nechro but I still don't have the fusion. I haven't seen any special/heavy weapon drops while running hard since hard came out. I've done hard beginning to end 3x a week since release so if I ever get Crux im going to start running normal for the fusion then hard for the extra shards. Tl;dr Ya, I have yet to see normal raid weapons drop in hard but I have seen helmets.
